Producers Plan to Finish and Release Rishi Kapoor's Last Film Sharmaji Namkeen
On-screen character Rishi Kapoor left to his grand dwelling place after a drawn-out fight with leukemia on April 30. The late veteran's last discharged film was The Body and he had begun taking a shot at his next undertaking, Sharmaji Namkeen.
Post Kapoor's downfall, filmmaker Honey Trehan of Excel Entertainment disclosed to IANS that the on-screen character was analyzed inside an initial barely any long periods of shooting and needed to quickly fly abroad for treatment.
Trehan clarified, "We halted the film and hung tight for him to return. He is the DNA of the film and we can't envision any other individual to play Sharmaji. They kept in contact with him and he was so anxious to return and jump on to the film set. So normally, when things began moving, his vitality and high polished skill were driving us,"
In an ongoing report, it is said that the producers intend to complete and discharge Chintu Ji's last film.
Sharmaji Namkeen was being helmed by debutante executive Hitesh Bhatia and featured Juhi Chawla.
Before, Juhi had worked with Rishi Kapoor in films like Bol Radha Bol (1992), Rishta To Ho Aisa (1992), Ghar Ki Izzat (1994), and Eena Meena Deegaa (1994).
In her sympathy note, she shared, "Due to Chintujis treatment, the shooting was deferred. In January this year, I joined the group in Delhi for the shooting. Chintuji was his entertaining, upbeat, here and there cantankerous, frequently loquacious self. Just once in a while he would sit without anyone else in the sun, or investigating his telephone distracted. We made some extraordinary memories shooting, he was easy, completely easy in his shots. Continuously and I mean constantly after his shot, the chief would yell an extremely fulfilled unconstrained OKKKKK into the mike. I viewed Chintuji during the shots on the screen and jealously pondering internally ... Chintuji is so decent, just SO pleasant on-screen .... it isn't reasonable!
